When my former black cat, Pyewacket passed away in 2010, I inwardly knew that I wanted to eventually adopt another black cat, however, I just wasn't ready. It was during the 2012 Halloween auction held on the Grayson County Humane Society Facebook page, that I decided to co-sponsor a black cat named "Dot". Some time passed and I decided to take it a step further and outright adopt him and went to the official Grayson County Humane Society website page and filled out the application adoption form. On December 1, 2012 "Dot" was transported to me all the way from Kentucky, where the shelter is, to me here in the Queens, NY area. When the transporter came with "Dot", she opened the carrier case he was in, and came right over to me as if we were long lost pals, and needless to say, he "took" over my home right away. I knew I wanted to change "Dot's" name to be something more representative in keeping with the mystical name of my former cat Pyewacket. It was while drifting to sleep one night, the name came to me…..Ouija.
